born and raised in the city of lights, jack was the first son of lee morrison, charismatic front man for the what and angela cross, model turned one of the original rock and roll mamas. his childhood was about as normal as you could expect, minus the parade of nannies that some celebrity kids grow up with. lee and angela were always determined to raise their kids themselves, lee having experienced an absent father from a very young age himself and while they weren’t always around, jack’s relationship with them was always very loving and open, if a little unconventional

his dad always hoped that jack might follow in his footsteps, even named him for the lizard king himself, in the hopes of inspiring the muses of music in his son but while from an early age he showed a real ear for music, jack’s always suffered from a paralyzing case of stage fright, dating back to his grade one recital when he made it only a verse into ‘america, the beautiful’ before bolting from the stage and throwing up, killing his musical career before it ever really began.

school was never a huge interest either as jack was diagnosed as adhd during his middle school years and while he wanted to do well, there was something about things like algebra and history that could never hold his attention. desperate to find something he could be good at, he was introduced to a friend of his dad’s, the what’s long-time producer rick allen and while he barely made it out of high school without failing out, he’d already begun to make a name for himself as something of a producing wunderkind with several hit tracks under his belt before he’d even turned eighteen. college was probably never going to happen but at least jack had finally found something that he could do well and more importantly, really enjoyed doing

Hey, what’s up? So apparently the people behind all this reality show stuff wanted me to record this bio of myself for the fans. Not really sure why since I’m just one of the behind the scenes guys, not one of those kids who’s about ready to kill someone for their chance in the spotlight but... uh, I guess if the company says so *grins*

I’m Jack or JJ to some. From Los Angeles, although I’ve been calling Canterbury my home for a little over a year now. I’m twenty-two but people have accused me of acting a lot younger than that, which is probably true. Some of that can be blamed on my ADHD but a lot of it’s just me. I think, especially when you’re working in an industry like this, the more serious and obsessed people get about their jobs, the faster they burn out. Not that I’m not serious about some stuff, like deadlines and getting good tracks laid down but c’mon. It’s music. If you’re not having at least some fun with it, then what the hell are you doing?

What else could I say? Well I really like horror movies, even though they usually scare me so badly I sleep with the lights on after watching them. If I’m not in the studio, I like hanging out with my friends, which isn’t hard to do since I’ve got a lot of them. I got taken to so many parties when I was a kid that I’m kind of used to being in unfamiliar situations and I guess I’m pretty good at talking to anyone about anything... except for politics or maybe quantum physics since I’m really not that smart. Well not book smart anyways. I like reading but it has to be something I’m interested in or else it just feels like work and who wants to turn their free time into a chore

Sometimes I think I’d like to have a girlfriend but I haven’t met the right girl just yet. I wonder if this has something to do with Addie since she’s been mistaken for my girlfriend a few times but she’s more like a sister to me than anything. It might be kind of cheesy but I have this picture of my dream girl in my mind, although who knows if I’ll ever find her. She has to be funny and good taste in music is a must but she shouldn’t be obsessed with her looks. I definitely would never date a girl who’d turn down the chance to do something because it might mess up her hair. Down to earth would also be nice because when you spend a lot of time around people who are all determined to be famous, it can get a little annoying. There’s some other stuff but not sure if I should share that or not *laughs* In the meantime though, guess it’s just me and Bad Cat, my feline roomie

I think that’s about it for me though. Not sure if any of this is gonna be useable at all but that’s what you get for letting me do an unscripted video like this. Jack Morrison, unchained and unplugged and awkward as hell
