Ivy had never liked school. Never. She didn't remember a single time that she'd woken up in the morning and thought, "oh yay another day of school!" - it was just something that would never happen. It wasn't that Ivy wasn't smart, she was, she could probably solve every single math problem her teacher threw at her in a few seconds, no she wasn't dumb, but she just didn't enjoy it. The people bored her, the classes bored her, the subject bored her and what bored her even more? The teachers. They just didn't have any way of motivating her, not that anyone ever could motivate her to do something she'd made up her mind about not liking. Ivy was a stubborn girl, especially when it came to what she thought about people or stuff in general. The one thing she'd never stop being stubborn about, was her whole "i don't give a fuck" attitude. So many people in her life had tried to get her to change her mind, to care about things that they felt were important. But who really decided what was important and not? To Ivy, the important things were all the things that made her time worth while, the people and the places that made her smile or laugh. Like take for example partying, that was one thing she thought was very important, that most other people just didn't see in the same way. But that was Ivy for you, the stereotypical party girl.<br><br>
There had been quite a few parties lately, but not many that had been too eventful. She'd sold some weed to this senior girl she'd never talked to before, Skye Hecquet, but other than that.. nothing new had happened. Not that Ivy hadn't had a good time, of course she had, she always made sure to have a good time, even if that meant getting high in her dorm and just chilling by herself. Even if she'd much rather be with someone else who could share her view on life. But all those people were busy, or very hard to find. <br><br>
It was lunch time at Ellison, Ivy had actually been to her morning classes today, which was pretty unusual to say the least. But now she was bored with it, and she wanted to find something else to do. Walking through the hallways she looked around for someone she could possibly hang out with, someone who'd want to join her in her search of something better to do. And she spotted her. Josie. Josie was a pretty blonde junior at Ellison, they shared a few classes together, she was one of those girls who'd do basically anything to get to hang out with the "popular kids", such as Nate Hart and the rest. Ivy had had her fair share of popular kids, they usually ended up at the same parties, and she'd ended up in Nate's bed more than once, but that was all over now that he'd gotten a girlfriend. Ivy made her way over to Josie, smiling as she leaned against the locker next to her. "Hey i'm betting your next class is something that's incredibly boring, and that you'd much rather come with me up to the roof and find something better to do." She smirked at her, looking over her shoulder at the people walking by as she waited for the girl's response. If she said no.. well then she'd have to find someone else she could pull away from the boring classes. But knowing Josie, she'd probably be up for anything.

School wasn't that big of a deal for Josie. She kind of enjoyed it, to an extent. It gave her something to do with her days, and she got to talk to everyone, and she just made the best of it. The way that she saw it was this: she had to be here anyways, so she might as well find things to enjoy about it. Some people thought that Josie was a nerd for liking school, but at least she wasn't miserable the whole time, whining about how much she wanted to get out of high school and move on with her life. She was taking advantage of these four years and getting the best she could out of them. If that made her a bit of a nerd, then so be it. She wasn't going to waste her time in high school hating it. That was stupid.<Br><br>
Josie stood at her locker, grabbing her copy of <i><u>The Great Gatsby</u></i> for her English class next period, when a familiar figured leaned against the locker beside her own. Ivy was one of those people that everyone knew, and therefore, Ivy was one of the people that Josie felt a ton of appreciation towards every time she spoke to her. Josie gave her an excited smile and was about to greet her, when she spoke first. Ivy's assumption was very correct. Josie would much rather hang out with Ivy than go to English and read about Gatsby the Great or whatever, but.. It was still class. <b>"Um,"</b> Josie hesitated for a moment, biting down on her lower lip before shoving the book back into her locker. She gave her a smile, <b>"Sure. Sounds great."</b> Josie closed her locker and grabbed her backpack from the floor and slung it onto her shoulders. <b>"It doesn't really matter what we do; anything is better than English class."</b>

Ivy had a few people she considered friends, but mostly she just hung out with whoever she felt would be amusing enough for that day. Meaning basically anyone that would be up for doing whatever she felt like doing that day. Though she like Josie, she was interesting, and she was one of those people who didn't raise their eyebrows at things Ivy did, she was more into trying the things before judging them. Though Ivy had never experienced Josie judging her for anything really, it would be very interesting the day Josie would stand up for herself and not agree to whatever crazy idea Ivy had for her. She smiled as Josie agreed to her suggestion, "Great. This way then." She smirked and linked arms with Josie, making her way through the hallway over to the stairs. One of Ivy's absolute favourite places at Ellison was the roof, no one went up there, and it was pretty damn high up. She liked to stand by the edge and look down, always wondering what it would feel like to just jump, to fall down. Though she'd never do it, she wasn't suicidal, she was just very curious. Maybe she should just try bungeejumping sometime.. a lot safer than jumping off a rooftop.<br><br>
Getting to the stairs she looked over at Josie, a playful smile on her lips. "So how was your earlier classes, anything exciting happen?" She raised an eyebrow, walking up the stairs. "I have a feeling today might turn around and be a better day after all, thank god." She laughed softly, taking the last few steps before stopping infront of the door that led out to the roof. Looking over her shoulder to make sure no one had followed them, she opened the door, walking out on the roof. "You coming?" She smiled back at Josie, walking over to the edge of the roof, looking down before sitting down on the ground, taking out a cig and lightning it. She inhaled the smoke, sighing happily then looked at Josie. "You want one?" She asked, raising one eyebrow the playful look back on her face. She'd always enjoyed trying to get other people to smoke or anything like that really, she thought of it as a game really. Sure it wasn't a good thing to do, but Ivy hardly ever regretted anything she did. And this was just one of those times.
