Title: SPAM THREAD FTW
Description: feel like talkin' 'bout nothin'?
Nicolai Antoanetta - August 4, 2009 02:23 PM (GMT)
SO I AM REALLY BORED AND FEEL LIKE SPAMMING.
But I also wanted to show y'all my pretty picture I made out of boredom.
So ... yeah. This topic can act as the "talk about anything" thread, so we can just talk if we don't feel like playing games. Woo.
So I saw the ugly truth last night. And I have realized that I am obsessed with Katherine Heigl. Like ... really, really badly.

OHMYGOODNESS SPAM THREAD!!! -takes virginity of thread-
BWAHAHAHA!!!
Okay, weird moment over.......so was the movie good? I reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy want to see it, Gerald Butler is so very hawt. xD
Nicolai Antoanetta - August 5, 2009 02:28 AM (GMT)
It was a pretty good movie, I must admit. I laughed really hard at this one part xD
MACKENZIE MONTAGUE - August 5, 2009 02:29 AM (GMT)
Oooh, and what was this part that made you laugh?? I would laugh at it all most likely because I'm a spaz like that xD
Robert Fenwick - August 5, 2009 02:29 AM (GMT)
Ooh, nice sig. :3
Also, The Ugly Truth looks good. Plus Gerard Butler = sexy. ^___^ I'm looking forward to Inglorious Basterds (yes, that's how it's spelled in the title, lol), myself. :]
I'm a sucker for a Tarantino film.
MACKENZIE MONTAGUE - August 5, 2009 02:47 AM (GMT)
Omg, that movie looks so effing funny. I'm a sucker for comedy.
Madeleine Carrow - August 9, 2009 08:43 PM (GMT)
I've seen The Ugly Truth and I loved it. I love how the old married newsanchor couple starts getting all hot and bothered during and after their sets. xD
I'm not a big Tarantino fan, but the new Brad Pitt Nazi film looks good.
I just saw Funny People today. It was good, but verrrrrry long. It started at 12:10 and ended close to 3:00. Like OMG.
Ailbe Dunne - August 10, 2009 06:15 AM (GMT)
I just saw Funny People too. I liked it even though I was disappointed that the Dr. Dog song in the commercials wasn't actually in the movie soundtrack haha. I also finally saw Public Enemies this weekend and liked that a lot too, but I have torrid love affair with Marion Cotillard so I'm a little biased haha.
Oh yeah, and to jump on the bandwagon, yes, I want to see Inglorious Basterds too. Along with Shutter Island, Ponyo, and Fame.

Man, reading all this makes me realize just how out of the loop with movies I've been. I used to be a big movie buff, but when I went to college my trips to the theatre went way down and now I never know what's playing anymore.
The only thing that's really caught my attention lately is Ponyo, since I'm a huge Miyazaki fan. :P
Vera Donatella - August 10, 2009 02:10 PM (GMT)
I just watched Watchmen last night and let me tell you, it was terrible. I felt like the movie was way too long and would not end. There were like 3 or 4 times in the movie when I felt like it was going to end and then it kept going. The plot idea was kind of cool, but it was not executed very well. A lot of the scene changes felt very abrupt. It was kind of like watching the first Twilight movie. The acting wasn't up to par, editing could have been better, and the movie should have ended earlier. Bleh. Not to mention, the music was SO random and had no consistency in the movie.
Alexander Shayes - August 10, 2009 02:38 PM (GMT)
Y'know, after reading the Watchmen comic book, I had really been looking forward to seeing that movie. But then I started hearing the reviews and I just sort of lost interest. Maybe someday I'll rent it, and only for Rorschach. Though I am interested in seeing what they did to change the ending so that it was less...out of nowhere. I heard they did that too.
Vera Donatella - August 10, 2009 03:58 PM (GMT)
I am curious to read the comic book. My friend has it/them. He wanted me to borrow and read them. It was such a painful movie to watch. I hope that the comic books are much better.
Alexander Shayes - August 10, 2009 05:39 PM (GMT)
Well, if you read it, let me know what you think. :P
I had borrowed it from a friend who is really into comic books and it was at the top of her favorites list, so I had pretty high expectations for it. It was very different from what I had expected, but well worth the read, I thought.
Oh, and we should get Vera and Alex into a thread together again. I guess our train topic sort of died. ^_^;
Vera Donatella - August 11, 2009 01:57 AM (GMT)
Ah! Yes we should! I sort of like died and had no time for the past like few weeks. School was absolutely insane and basically I had no free time :X I at one point had not been on a computer in like a week. Craziness.
Alexander Shayes - August 11, 2009 03:06 AM (GMT)
Hah, I know the feeling! I'm finally getting past that point in my life. I'm hoping it won't be coming around again anytime soon. :P
I'm feeling a bit drained right now, but I'll probably get a thread up or something tomorrow.
And the threading thing goes for anybody else. I'm eager for any sort of roleplaying with Alex, Payton, Maya or Emelyn. Maya especially since she has done absolutely nothing. x.x
