A New Kind Of Crew

[The Rogue King]

Jax had been walking up and down he dock for two days now waiting for Havoc. why is he always late? Something caught the demons attention out of the corner of his eye,a small origami bird was flying toward him. "A knights job is never done", he mumbled under his breath, as he reached up to pluck it from the air.

Jax read the note several times making sure that he was reading this correctly,after the fourth time through he looked back to the ship he had been near two days ago. He had helped a man take out two ogre before him and apparently his captain had boarded their ship with barely a thanks. Now he had to go back and try and talk to the apparent anti demon companions. "Huh, why do I have the feeling that I'm gonna get stabbed?" he asked to no one, but a few of the more shady people were looking like they were wanting to do just that to him.

Ten minutes later Jax stood on the dock at the base of the ramp, he knew enough about proper sailing protocol to not board without permission. "Hello?! This is Jax from the other day anyone there? I mean permission to come aboard!!!" With that he stood there waiting for a reply.

[The Rogue King]

Crickets chirp in the distance.

The captain heard the voice of the demon that just saved Krieger.

He turned to Krieger, "I guess we should at least talk to him since he did help you out.



"Permission Granted."

[The Rogue King]

Jax stepped uneasily onto the ship, I hate boats he thought to himself. "Hello again," he said as happily as he could, " listen I have an offer for you if your interest, its a chance to do some real good in the world, with out the worry of any kinds of expenses. I'll tell you more if your interested but you have to be VERY interested, secrecy is key."

"Please excuse us a moment to discuss."

The captain took Krieger below decks to discuss.

"It sounds to me like he is being truthful and he did save you. I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to maybe try to trust him maybe just this once. What do you think?"

Jax waited patiently on the deck for his prospective knights to return.

"I don't like this at all," Krieger stated bluntly. "I have spent my life killing his kin. They are usually nothing but trouble in the worst way!"

He shook his head, "But why not! If he tries anything, we can take him. I'm sure of it."

The captain went back to the top deck.

"Permission to come aboard, Demon."

"What brings you here?"

Jax thought for a few seconds," I don't really know how to put this so I'll use a few lines from a friend of mines. Both of your individual talents have been noticed by my superior, a very powerful man who's goal in life is to defend this land from greater evils. Krieger I have been informed that you are a very skilled demon hunter and that you are one of the two people that could perhaps match if not excede the reputation of Artiim. Mr. Thomas West aside from your very remarkable ship, you your self has a certain... how should I say this... understanding of water."

Jax waited a few seconds to let his impressive knowledge of each of them sink in, "now my superior would like for you to join his team, normaly there would be test's involved but there not a lot of time left and he requires your assistance immediately. Now I understand you have a lot of questions and i'll answer a few now and many later, if you are for joining, but I'll not speak his name unless you agree to join. Just take to heart that he is a good man, and that you will have unlimited resources at your disposal."

"I will join."

"I'm leaving my own first mate's choice to himself."

"But say no more about my past. I will tell it when it is time."

"Ah, why not..." Krieger shrugged. "When we leave?"

[The Rogue King]

"Excelent, we leave now for Dekani. Captain West, since this is your ship your in comand until we reach our destination, or unless you try and sway from our destination. If we move now we may beat The Rogue King there, he doesn't like when his Knights are late." There he had said it The Rogue King now they knew who they were working for, or serving was a better term. "I'll answer as many questions as I can on the way."

Ooc: Colin since it's your ship you need to post something that says we set sail. Then your gonna have to put us in at Dekani. Feel free to have us out at sea for a little maybe we can do like a Pirate battle or something. Anyway you gotta bring us out.

"Fair enough. We were just making our final preparations."

"If no one has any objections we will set sail for Dekani promptly. The ship is ready whenever we are."

OoC: Yeah, sounds good. Just thought I'd put that just to make sure no one needed to leave. Also, a battle sounds like a good idea, maybe the whole partial bonding thing.

"Then lets be off!!" Jax said with as much enthusiasm he could muster. God I hate boats.

Krieger looked to his captain.

"Anything we need to do before setting off?" He inquired. "I'm here when you need me."
