Title: A New Kind Of Crew (cont.)
Cjtc3 - November 7, 2008 06:53 PM (GMT)
Once out in the open waters the captain spoke to the two on his ship.
"Since the wind is blowing from the west we'll have to adjust the sails accordingly and tack the ship so we don't get blown out to sea. We should be fine for a little while but we'll have to adjust the sails sooner or later."
"You two are free to do as you wish above or belowdecks until then."
The Rogue King - November 7, 2008 09:43 PM (GMT)
As the ship rocked Jax's stomach began to turn "I think Ill stay up here", he said as he ran to the edge of the ship. He threw his head over the side and began to vomit.
Lord Hoehn - November 13, 2008 11:13 PM (GMT)
(SOMEONE POST-DELEATE THIS POST AFTER POSTING!)

KaiserKold - November 20, 2008 03:30 AM (GMT)
OOC: I just got internet again, Randall.
You would no that I didn't have Internet if you ever actually answered your cellphone. I've called you 4 or 5 times several days ago.
*Cough *cough*
BIC:
"So can I ask you something?" Krieger asked Jax between heaves. "How come you're so different from most of your brethren?"
The Rogue King - December 2, 2008 09:10 PM (GMT)
Jax seeming to finally be out of vomit looked over at Krieger. "Brethren? Ha! Those fiends stopped being my 'brethren' the minute they tried to kill me. Look believe it or not I'm not... typical of my particular kind. Not in the sense that I don't want to kill you, that's more a side effect of their fear of something different." Jax sighed, "It's complicated and I'm not a good story teller. Maybe Havoc can tell you more when we catch up with him."
KaiserKold - January 20, 2009 12:26 PM (GMT)
"Havoc, eh?" Krieger mused, "I've never heard of the fellow."
Krieger was about to reiterate the point, trying to keep the conversation going, but he spotted something off of the starboard bow. He took a few steps forward, his eyes growing wide...
(Randall, that's your cue)
Lord Hoehn - January 21, 2009 05:00 AM (GMT)
A black flag rose forth up the mast, the large three sail sped forth as the whitecaps pounded on the hull of the ship.
Captain Garbsteen, or Hairy Garbsteam, gazed into his spyglass at the vessel, sweat poured down his brow as the blazing heat bounced across the horizon. Captain Garbsteen, was a powerful figure of a man, with bulging arms a weathered red complexion and enough hair to make a yeti feel naked. He had been in and out of jail all his life but had always found a way out in the end. Half his crew were goblins and the other portion were half orcs. The only other man was a minor cuthroat wizard called Sparky that sped the craft along its path. Most would not find company in such a group but Garbsteen cared not for companionship but the weight of his purse.
More wind you dout, we come in hard, bash, take, and leave. Captain Garbsteen was not a man of complexity.
Just another merchant ship for the taking, he gave a yellowed crooked smile.
The score of goblins and orcs laughed and hackled, blood lust for the coming battle
KaiserKold - January 22, 2009 02:10 AM (GMT)
"Uh, guys..." he pointed to the sails on the horizon, waving the black flag. "We've got company."
He looked to the demon, then to his captain. "You ready for this?"
He clenched the handle to his flail tightly; he would not let them have this ship as long as he drew breath.
"What's your orders, sir?"
The Rogue King - January 22, 2009 04:47 AM (GMT)
Jax looked up at the approaching ship. "God this is gonna suck."
Cjtc3 - January 23, 2009 04:17 PM (GMT)
The captain ran to the upper deck and, with his eyes glowing, threw his arms up in a wide arc, which resulted in a large wave being thrown up in the ocean towards the direction of the ship.
"This probably won't sink it, but it'll rock the boat pretty good and it'll be a great surprise tactic," the captain said, eyes still glowing.
KaiserKold - January 23, 2009 05:49 PM (GMT)
Krieger looked at the captain.
Damn. I didn't know he could do that...
"Good thinking, sir," he gave a quick salute, "But all you gotta do is let them get close enough to board. I promise you they won't know what hit them!"
Lord Hoehn - January 23, 2009 06:00 PM (GMT)
Captain Garbsteen's eyes went wide at the approaching tide and growled "They got a wizard!", yelling it to all on deck, "hold on'rye dogs" as he grabbed the wheel as the wave crashed over head.
Most of the crew were lucky enough to see it in time, but one unfortunate goblin got slammed full blast by the wave, nocking it through the boat doors and bouncing down the ricity stairs, nocking the goblin out cold on the walls.
"Sparky, what do I pay you for ye ingrate"....."SEND ONE THERE WAY THAT"LL SHOW EM"
"My powers are not that powerful cap"
"R, I'm surrounding by ingrates,.gr...full speed ahead,It'll take more then waves to bring me down, we'll ride right over these damn water and Kill em dead" The stupid crew gave a round of agreement.
The ship rocked back and forth, but was finally able to maintain itself..the wizard pushed the ship even faster towards the merchant vessel
The Rogue King - January 25, 2009 01:23 AM (GMT)
Jax, stomach still churning, stood up straight. "I agree with Krieger, let them come."
Cjtc3 - January 27, 2009 12:40 PM (GMT)
"Alright, men. Draw your weapons and ready yourselves. Forget the cannons they're too cumbersome and it'll just take up valuable time, " the captain said as he drew his sword.
"Its time to defend this ship!"
Lord Hoehn - January 29, 2009 07:56 PM (GMT)
Captain yelled over the rolling of waves, "Get ready you dogs," He pulled the wheel as the boat moved to intercept the side of the ship. "Sparky, send em a lightingbolt, I don't pay ye to just blow wind in me sails," with a growl He looked at the enemy ship and gave a hearty laugh
"They have e 3 men on thee ship, Rgg, the battle has already be one" He looked around at his crew "Shall we let them surrender"
The crew bellowed "NO!" A couple of goblins tied there arms around with ropes, where as the orc band stood on the side, axes and swords at the ready, to leap across to the other ship.
The wizard moved his hands and aimed a lightbolt at the three onboard
The Rogue King - January 29, 2009 10:39 PM (GMT)
Jax had just finished drawing his mighty sword, when his eyes went wide. He could feel the remains of the food in his stomach rising up his throat. The demon clenched his teeth as the contents reached his mouth, he then closed his eyes and swallowed hard returning the vomit to his stomach. Now is not the time for such displays of weakness.
Cjtc3 - January 31, 2009 11:06 PM (GMT)
The captain saw the lightning bolt coming and alerted his two companions with an elegant, "SCATTER!!"
The captain dove hard to his left towards the entrance of the stairwell to below decks, with the lightning bolt catching his foot.
He felt it immediately and a jolt went through his entire body momentarily paralyzing him such that he didn't get his landing quite right and fell down the stairs. He was mostly alright except for some minor bumps and bruises.
"You'll pay for that, " the captain muttered as he headed back to the upper deck.
KaiserKold - February 3, 2009 08:51 PM (GMT)
Krieger was well away from the lightning bolt, but was damned glad of it. He didn't need all of his magical items to be shorted out right now.
He took a bead on the wizard with his bow and unleashed 2 arrows in quick succession.
Cjtc3 - February 3, 2009 09:42 PM (GMT)
The captain was back on the upper deck and used his power. His eyes glowing, he brought up an orb of water and rained icy needles onto the deck of the upper ship.
He was beginning to get tired.
The Rogue King - February 4, 2009 05:56 AM (GMT)
Jax looked around in disbelief, "I thought we were gonna let them get closer." He mumbled under his breath. The demon looked around Where's Havoc when I need him, these people and there damn distance fighting
Below deck he found a small keg of gun powder, "hmmm, this might do the trick." He grabed the keg and a length of fuse, ran the fuse into the keg and headed up top.
Jax lit the fuse and with all his might hurled his bomb toward the ship that was quickly closing distance.
Lord Hoehn - March 7, 2009 05:18 PM (GMT)
Sparky gave a shriek of agony and dismay as a arrow lodged through his leg, the other in rapid succession ripped through his hand
"AAHHHHHHHHHH!", his leg gave out and he was forced to stuble/crawl along the deck heading for the door to the captains quarters
Before he went down the stairs, he couldn't help but throw one last lightingbolt. He aimed at the top mast at the blurred figure that he just couldn't make out in the sun
Garbsteen could be seen above deck, barking orders and waving his sword with one hand and the other on the wheel unrelentlessly keeping the path steady towards the other ship
As if th gods were against him, the sky filled with stinging needles, raining down on them without mercy. The whole crew yelped with suprise and pain. Taking cover wherever they could, though the icy needles would always just adjust its course to intercept the crew. One orc decided to just hoist a unlucky goblin above its head as a makeshift umbrella.
"Get your heads out of your arsse!, Look for the wizard ye damn ingrats," Garbsteen now had one hand over his head to stop the small missles. His black feathery hat now looked like a piece of swiss cheese.
A few goblins took the initiative, loading the dark metal ball into the cannon, and lighting the fuse after many failed attempts. The cannonball shot out like a firecracker at the hostile ship.
The next thing the goblins knew,..well actually they didn't know, they didn't have time to think for the keg went off right after the cannon shot out. The two were blown clear off the deck, a shoe here and a not so pretty thumb there was all that remained.
The rest of the crew howled in anger but also a little bit of fright.
Garbsteen, was fumming, Three, there's just three fo them
Nothing would stop him now, he was on them, the ship crahed bow first into the starbard side of the enemy ship.
He wanted blood, they all wanted blood, now numbers would come into play he though...I want to personally cut that wizards throat...He joined the rest of his crew as he made way to board.
KaiserKold - March 7, 2009 08:13 PM (GMT)
Krieger charged towards the boarding party. He rolled to the ground, and when he returned to his feet, the Mace of the Madrigal was in his right hand. One big orc was the first to cross onto the ship, it wielded a large sword. Krieger lunged forward and attempted to drive his bladed buckler into the beast's chest.
Lord Hoehn - March 10, 2009 04:49 PM (GMT)
The orc batted away the shield in one furious swing, knocking away the bladed buckler from his chest. He came on again with one wild swing after another at the tan human's head and torso
Another goblin stood behind the orc, trying to slip in a blade wherever he could
The rest of the ships party charged onto the deck
KaiserKold - March 11, 2009 05:22 AM (GMT)
Krieger easily sidestepped the wild swing and kicked out at the orc's knee. Without waiting to see his damage, he rolled backwards and swung his mace around defensively.
Lord Hoehn - March 11, 2009 03:24 PM (GMT)
The orc's left knee buckled under his weight sending him a crouched position. His face showed a mask of anger and pain. "AAAARHHHHH, kill that human"
The goblin came up gleefully to poke his dagger in the undefended human, when he was about to strike, a mace swung up to meet him right in the temple, throwing his dead heap the side
KaiserKold - March 11, 2009 04:13 PM (GMT)
Krieger pulled his throwing axe out with his left hand, spun 360 degrees and flung it at the chest of the angry, rising orc.
Lord Hoehn - March 11, 2009 06:16 PM (GMT)
The orc watched as the axe embedded into its chest, he gave a roar of pure anger and charged forward.
He went only a few steps before the life in his eyes melted away and he stumbled onto the the floor of the deck crawling, his heart gave its last beat then stopped for eternity.
The Rogue King - March 12, 2009 03:13 PM (GMT)
Jax swung the sword of Todysseus with incredible strength left to right attempting to decapitate or amputate any creature that came too close.
Lord Hoehn - March 14, 2009 04:42 AM (GMT)
A goblin was slashed cleanly in two as it made way for the daemon, its legs seperated from the chest and head in one bloody movement of Jax's sword.
Another goblin came at Jax on the left with a small crude rusty spiked axe while an orc, almost topping two feet above the daemon, came charging with a iron warhammer, in sweeping precise patterns, no novice to battle.
Another two orcs ran across the deck and charged right at the captain by the wheel, one with a large cutlass and the other with bare fists alone.
To the side of the boat, a goblin took aim on chest of the helmeted man, holding breath, then let go of the string with a Zwpp.
The Rogue King - March 14, 2009 08:56 PM (GMT)
Jax extended his left arm to grab at the axe of the goblin. With his right arm, he hefted his mighty sword to defend against the orc with the hammer.
KaiserKold - March 15, 2009 10:08 PM (GMT)
Krieger heard the twang of the bow, and began a lightning quick defensive turn - throwing his cloak up to intercept the projectile - but he was not fast enough. Though the arrow did hit cloak, it wasn't slowed enough and the (thankfully) small shaft plunged into the meat of his left pectoral.
Without skipping a beat, he grabbed the shaft and broke it close to the wound, then tossed it to the deck. After swiftly finding his attacker, he dashed towards the goblin and leaped at the bowman with the intent to tackle.
Lord Hoehn - March 23, 2009 07:00 AM (GMT)
The goblin gave a pitiful squeel as it tried to heave the axe down but the deamon already had it in his powerful left hand, not comprehending and still holding the handle, the goblin was raised a couple inches off the floor "Aahhhh", letting go of the shaft, the goblin quickly pulled a oversized knife from the folds of his clothes on its chest.
The orc came charging in, the power of the swing would of crushed almost any man even if he did attempt to block, folding in on himself, but this was no ordinary man.
The hammer made contact with the sword in one loud clank of steel, the orc seemed perpexed for a moment but then came in again, from the left and then to the right, repeatedly trying get past the defensces but also to distract Jax from the goblin that was trying to put in a stab in along the torso.
Lord Hoehn - March 23, 2009 07:08 AM (GMT)
No eyes were wider then the goblin as it saw the bear of a huminoid charge at it on the deck.
The goblin gave a howl of fright and scrambled hands over feet to make it to the side of the boat, he was just about to clear the railing, the way he saw it, it was better to be wet then to face that thing, when he got tackled on the smooth floor of the boat, skidding a good five feet across. The whole time the goblin bite and used anything it could to get away and even managed at the same time to say "Dunt Hurt me", and "sorry" a couple of times as they went tumbling. Man over goblin and then goblin over man.
KaiserKold - March 23, 2009 09:17 PM (GMT)
Krieger tried to subdue the goblin, but the flailing creature was fighting for all it was worth. Krieger received several scrapes and bites, but his skin was leathery from years of desert exposure so the damage was superficial. Finally, Krieger wrestled his way on top of the goblin and, letting go of the forearms, grabbed the creature's head on both sides.
With a grunt and all of his might, he attempted to free the goblin's skull from its spinal column.
Lord Hoehn - March 24, 2009 01:38 AM (GMT)
Its arms frailing wildly and the goblin screaming at the top of his lungs, for only a sec, and with a definate crack, the head detached from the spinal cord
The limbs went nimb, and the goblins eyes rolled back within its head
The Rogue King - March 24, 2009 03:52 AM (GMT)
Jax dropped the axe as soon as the goblin let go, he reached again but this time for the goblin himself. Come here you little shit.
All the while Jax was angling his sword for a downward chop at the hammer wielding orc.
KaiserKold - March 26, 2009 04:42 AM (GMT)
Krieger pushed the goblin corpse away and rushed towards the orc he downed earlier.
Pulling the hand axe from its torso, he leaped towards his next foe - another orc - and swung hard at it's neck.
Cjtc3 - March 29, 2009 12:08 AM (GMT)
West used the last remaining surge of energy in attempt to topple the enemy ship.
With a massive heave and mental push a wave headed towards the side of the enemy ship, in attempt to sink it.
Lord Hoehn - March 30, 2009 03:17 AM (GMT)
Jax Battle
Jax's hand pulled the pathetic creature from the cuff of its neck, the goblin's knife slashed vigoriously as the hand came towards him
The orc swung his weapon to the side to deflect the downward swing. Grunting and growling " Ill smash you head to a splat" He folowed through with his swing back around, his hammer comming in at the daemon's chest.
Krieger Battle
The orc's spine cracked with a crunch as the axe imbedded through its neck Blood dripped through the confused orc's mouth, The blade forcing the orcs body into a crumpled heap on the floor
Now there was only one orc going after Captain West
West Battle
The wave roared over the enemy ship, Sparky the wizard was just making his way onto the deck, jumping with suprise and terror as he noticed the wave rise above the vessel
He moved his hands back and forth as fast as he can, willing the water to stop, the wave began to fall, he was not powerful enough, "NO, STO.." It was as if heaven fell from above, the water engulfing the entire ship completley in crashing of the wave. The impact of the wave tiltted Captains West ship almost over,as the she finally came back on her side. After the wave had settled, there was nothing left of the ship but the ripples of the water.
The orc that was just about to tackle the captain, to his suprise as the boat leaned, tumbled across the floor, onto the hard wooden railing
Captain Garbsteen was lucky, sticking his feet into the rope just as it started turning His face stood dumbstruck as ship sunk to davy Jones locker. Then his face turned as red as a turnip, giving a howl and raising his sword int he air. Locking eyes on the captain, "Ye be going down yeself, blasted seadog" He charged for the captain, his sword cutting the air right and left at West
The remaining 3 orcs and 4 goblins stormed at the helmeted human, a total of 7 crashing down at him
Lord Hoehn - March 30, 2009 05:00 AM (GMT)
