VIVIAN: No reason.

FLORENCE: I think I'll be bored now.

DOOLEY: No worries.

SAM: (fails to start a sentance with "Um")

I think Benvolo is aware of the occasional need to appear humble.

I might put him in a room with a T-rex and his hands, mouth, and eyes bound with duct tape. He might have a few doubts about his ability to handle that situation. Then the T-rex would ask if he took one cube of sugar or two in his tea.

I'd like to put Zoe and Chloe in on Sam's comment. However, people havn't been introduced to them . . . then again, we've been giving Benvolo stuff. Okay, future characters are fair game!

KAMALI: I love you, Andrei.

ANDREI: I love you, Kamali.

XUE: The lepidoptera Danainae Danaus, while of striking coloration and remarkable endurance, is not of sufficient interest to invest extended periods of time in study.

MAIA: Team me up with Xue again.

CECILIA: I'm abandoning my family and going to do what I want for a change.

Cecilia: Of course Glenn you're right about my mother. Say whatever you want.

The Grandma: Jordan thank you.

THe Grandma: Jordan I'm going to start paying you for all the work you do.

Glenn: I don't think I'll do any writing today.

Glenn: THings are going to fast!

Sam: Everything worth inventing has been invented.

Vivian: Defilement on the gods!

Vivian: There is one god and one god only and anyone who doesn't agree with me is an infidel.

Vivian: I can accept that people might not believe in my gods.

Vivian: The Glory of Hera is overrated. I think I'll worship Amaterasu for a while.

It's easier for people that I've already written some dialogue for than people for whom I only have mental concepts.

Beth: Time for a break.

Happy birthday, Shannon! . . . belated.

No, The Grandma would say Happy Birthday to anyone she saw whose birthday she knew it was. There was probably "Happy Birthday" written on several levels of that cake she and Jordan baked - and Jordan didn't actually do all the work. Just most of it. But she probably put at least half as much time as Jordan did into the cake (the other half was spent resting - beating eggs can be quite tiring, you know, and she's not a very healthy woman). She didn't say "Happy Birthday" to Cecilia because it WASN'T her birthday when she saw her.

Really, she used to do all the stuff she has Jordan do on her own. She can't, now. That's why Jordan helps. And Jordan doesn't help that often. But she feels guilty if she doesn't go over at least once a week. More often around peoples' birthdays and holidays.

And I didn't know any of that before I wrote it down just now, so your having said what you said was very helpful to me. To keep the original post going:

TG: Let Freedom ring!

Amelia: Go away and leave me alone!

Vivian: I don't believe in fairies.

Hee hee hee.
We should do that for all of them.

Jordan: Friends are more important than boyfriends.

Uri: Friends are more important than finishing touches.

Sybil: Friends are more important than newspapers - that might be a stretch. Ooh, I know! Friends are more important than porch swings! Okay, I haven't much developed her.

Andrei: Friends are more important than saying whatever you think about.

Glenn: Healthy and safety are more important than friends.
Probably same for Amelia.

Kamali: Friends are more important than art.

Dooley: --Well, gee, I can't think of something for Dooley. But I might be too close to the issue. What is he like from your viewpoint?

Dooley: Friends are more important than art! (We don't really know him that well yet eh?)

Sam; Friends are more important than blowing stuff up!

odeda: Friends are more important than privacy

The Grandma: Friends are more important than world domination.

Mm. I think not about Dooley. First time we really get to see his point of view, he's analysing Sam and Glenn to try to get Sam to take steps for his own benefit. So maybe,

DOOLEY: What my friends actually want is more important than what I think they should want.

Kimali: Can't wait to get to Andre's house! He's such a great guy!

Andre: Yay! Kimali is coming over!

Dooley: I think art is a waste of time. It's time I started doing something productive with my life like banking!

Theo: I think money is a waste of time. It's time I do something productive with my life like art!

Glenn: I AM NOT AN ANIMAL!!!!!!!!!!!

I do? Huh. Didn't know that. Well, I suppose if I want to keep this alive . . . and it is useful. I used one of yours for Jordan on the single-panel I did a couple of days ago.

Beth: Relax.

She's coming up soon.
